DP/30: Thelma Schoonmaker cut The Wolf of Wall Street

Editing is really somewhat like plumbing. You take two things and put them together and if you do it right electricity flows through or water flows through. In other words it’s the combination of the images or how you cut the dialogue together that gives you the thrill that you need when you’re looking in a movie as an audience.
